State-of-the-art container glass wall thickness measurement
The new-generation CHRocodile MPS 2L multi-point sensor replaces up to 24 individual sensors in measuring layer thickness and distance along a line. It is ideal for measuring the wall thickness of colored and dark container glass. By enabling any combination of point and line measuring probes in a small footprint, this highly flexible device is ideal for inline inspections of container glass at the hot and cold end.
Advantages
- Replaces up to 24 individual measuring channels
The CHRocodile MPS 2L offers up to 24 simultaneous and independent non-contact measurements in distance and thickness mode. Together with the newly developed line probes, two lines of 12 points each can be measured. The measuring points are distributed on a line with a length of up to 12.5 mm. - Maximum flexibility in selection of point and line measuring probes
Since the channels can be addressed independently, other configurations can be used e.g. a single-line probe and up to 12 additional point probes. This gives you maximum flexibility and allows any combination of point and line measuring probes. - Dedicated point and line probes for specific measuring tasks in the container glass industry
With Precitec's specially developed probes for wall thickness measurement you enjoy maximum flexibility:
Point Probe SP 12
The SP 12 single point probe with a measuring range of 12 mm is ideally suited for dark glass. The small footprint allows easy integration into tight spaces on production lines.
Line Probe MP 10.5
The MP 10.5 line probe with 12 points in a straight line is especially suitable for wall and bottom thickness measurements. The pitch of 1.14 mm between the points results in a total length of 12.5 mm and allows measurement of critical sections with higher resolution.
Line Probe MP 18
The MP 18 multipoint probe features 12 points in a straight line. The pitch of 1.14 mm between the points results in a total line length of 12.5 mm and allows measurement of critical sections with higher resolution. The high measuring range and the greater angle of acceptance make the MP 18 an ideal solution for non-round objects. Moreover, the flat design enables multiple probes to be stacked so that less installation space is needed.
